Protection studies and solutions
Protectiva Lab is a platform for the advancement in the fields of humanitarian humanitarian protection and the protection of human rights defenders through a unique combination of rigorous research and practical application. Our approach focuses on developing and implementing strategies that not only address the theoretical aspects of protection, but also offer consultancies and practical solutions to challenges in these two interconnected but distinct fields.
The essence of Protectiva Lab lies in its dedication to bridging the gap between theory and practice by building much-needed middle-range protection theory. We prioritize studies and solutions that directly inform and influence practical protection efforts, ensuring that our work can be applied in real-world contexts. By integrating research with practical strategies, Protectiva Lab seeks to be a valuable resource for the protection of human rights defenders and protection workers in humanitarian action.
Empowering civil society organizations and protection practitioners.
Education and hands-on training are key components of our work. Protectiva Lab offers specialized programs that equip protection practitioners with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of their roles and make a difference in their respective fields.
Proposing new paradigms in the development of protection strategies and practices:
Protectiva Lab proposes new paradigms in current efforts to improve protection strategies and practices worldwide. Through our research, training and action-oriented initiatives, we seek to set new standards in the field, driving significant changes that improve protection for those who need it most.
